Your Opportunity
In accordance with Letter of Understanding #3 – Research Projects, and under the direct supervision of the College Professor, the Student will assist the supervisor with activities relating to Indigenizing Math 111 (Essential Math for Arts)

Functions and Duties
The Research Assistant will assist the supervisor by performing the following duties:
1. Assists with research for educational purposes.
2. Assists in preparing Indigenous lesson plans for Math 111.
3. Participates in research activities related to the subject area being investigated such as proper protocol when inviting Elders into the classroom.
4. Assists in collecting and compiling data associated with improvements to indigenize the course curriculum for future semesters.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Student must be enrolled in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College.

Prior work experience is an asset, especially working with people and/or involved in community cultural activities.

Indigenous student preferred.
