Your Opportunity | In accordance with Letter of Understanding #3 – Research Projects, and under the direct supervision of the College Professor, the Research Assistant assists and supports the supervisor with research-related activities pertaining to Computer Science and Information Technology and within the supervisor’s research areas of interest and expertise. |
Functions and Duties | The Research Assistant will assist the supervisor by performing the following duties:

Position Specific Functions | 6. Participating in applied student research papers reviewing and writing 7. Support with blogs, e-forums programming and administration 8. Assist the supervisors in project programming tasks and with the project servers’ maintenance/updates/backups/ect. 9. Support with documentation development, information gathering and information updates 10. Support with business applications demonstration 11.Providing users/clients/participators support 12. Helping with the promotional campaign and project activities 13. Performs other duties as assigned |
Education and Experience | Students enrolled in the BCIS or CIS program, with knowledge of Java, Oracle, MySQL, OOA&D, and Web applications development (PHP and Linux), client server and multi-tier technology, software and databases design, Unix Shell scripting, Networking VMWare or similar virtualization technology, Python, Jupyterlab and Google Colab, Amazon or other cloud resources use for the R&D projects will be preferred. Prior work experience is an asset. |
