Your Opportunity | In accordance with Letter of Understanding #1 – Student Employees, and under the direct supervision of the Operations and Administrative Coordinator, the Student assists the supervisor with activities related to the student registration system in Continuing Studies and Corporate Training |
Functions and Duties | The Student will assist the supervisor by performing the following duties: 1. Research system functionality and provide details to supervisor and Manager, CS Operations on recommendations. 2. Support HTML, CSS, and Javascript requirements on email templates, web design, and other areas of the system as recommended by Manager, CS Operations and supervisor. 3. Compile reports from existing data using Excel to support program and system development. 4. Assist in finding relevant documentation to support system end users. Performs other duties as assigned |
Position Specific Functions | |
Education and Experience | Enrolled in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College; students enrolled in a Computer Information Systems program or Data Analytics program preferred. Prior work experience is an asset. |
Skills and Abilities | - Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer software applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and experience working with information databases. - Conduct research through internet - Understanding of and ability to create new and modify existing HTML, CSS, and Javascript - Works effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Well-developed organizational skills - Detail-oriented - Insert skill and/or ability here |
